During COVID-19 isolation Kilraughts YFC have been spreading positivity and helping the community in anyway possible.
The Club makes sure to keep their members busy by challenging them to complete relevant tasks, such as one of their arts festival dances.
The Club has opened a helpline to their local rural community for those who are in isolation and have no access to essentials, picking up prescriptions or even just to have a chat on the phone with.
Kilraughts YFC business have joined links with Marie Curie and became volunteers as PPE delivery drivers. Members received online training and began to pick up PPE and deliver it during COVID-19 LOCKDOWN where PPE and deliveries are at their maximum.
YFC members have completed a walk/run/cycle the distance between each young farmers club in Northern Ireland which comes to a total of 600. The club raise £1 for every mile completed and their proceeds went to ‘Yellow Wellies – Mind your Head’ as the mental health of farmers is as important than ever therefore the club wish to show their support.
